Beach Towel Tails

Fee: $10

Show off your inner merperson at the beach this summer with a DIY towel tail! Book a two-hour time slot on a Tuesday morning, and we’ll teach you machine sewing and serging in the MakerPlace to make your own unique beach accessory.  Email mnichol@midlandlibrary.com for details and registration.

Step into the world of myths & legends! Spend the afternoon playing D&D, the classic table top role-playing game. Whether you’re joining us for our shorter sessions to get used to game play or our custom-made adventure games, all are welcome!

Music Legends in the Making: GarageBand Workshop for Teens

Make Your Own Comic Book Workshop for Teens

Venture into the vibrant world of comic books to learn the process and get advice from comic book author/artist, Angela O’Hara. We’ll discuss important concepts like narrative, world-building, and visual literacy, as well as provide activities to get you started and showcase the equipment available at the MPL MakerPlace to help you create your final product.

Virtual Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

1st Wednesday of the Month @  5:00 PM

Our Teen Advisory Group is a team leadership group at MPL – programming for teens by teens.

If you know what you want to see in the library, have suggestions for books to order or programming you want to attend – then TAG is for you!
Earn community service hours (required for graduation) for all TAG meetings, plus earn extra for TAG-led activities. Email Jenn, Adult & Teen Services Coordinator at jpaquette@midlandlibrary.com for our virtual meeting link!
