Turn buttons into wearable art! Use wire and the Cricut to make button flowers that can be transformed into pins, jibbitz, and more. Registration required.

Teen Take & Make: Shrinky Keychain

Available from June 1 in The Vault

Teens (12-18)

Turn your art into a one-of-a-kind keychain! Draw your designs onto shrinky paper, then pop it in the oven and watch it shrink down to pocket size. No registration required. Available while supplies last.

Bubble Tea & Brushstrokes: A Painting Program for Teens

Tuesday, June 2, 4:30-5:30pm

Ages 12-18

Registration recommended. 

A relaxing sip & paint session where you can enjoy delicious bubble tea, discover library resources, and explore your artistic side. No experience needed!

Make Your Own Eye Mask

Thursday, June 18, 5:30-7:30PM OR Monday, June 29, 2:30-4:30PM

Summer is coming, and the sunshine will be streaming in your window earlier than you might like! Help yourself sleep in by sewing your own eye mask in this fun program for teens. Registration required.

Secondary School Study Hall

Need a place to study for exams or work on an end-of-semester project? MPL has converted one of our study rooms into the ultimate study space, equipped with supplies, snacks, and stress busters. Study alone or in a small group using your student card.

No registration required. First come, first served during all MPL open hours.

Teen Summer Reading Program

June 26 – Sept. 7

Ages 12-18

No registration required. Collect your ballot at check out or on our website and tell us about your reading experience for your chance to win our grand prize – a $100 gift card to Cineplex!

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

1st Wednesday of the Month @  5:00 PM

Our Teen Advisory Group is a team leadership group at MPL – programming for teens by teens.

If you know what you want to see in the library, have suggestions for books to order, or programming you want to attend – then TAG is for you!
Earn community service hours (required for graduation) for all TAG meetings, plus earn extra for TAG-led activities. Email Jenn, Adult & Teen Services Coordinator at [email protected] for more information or drop-in to ‘The Vault’ for our next meeting.

Teen Review Program

Earn volunteer service hours for reviewing recent (last two years) books & movies found in the MPL collections. Two volunteer service hours per approved review.

Please remember that reviews should convey your own ideas and insights about the selection. The use of AI tools is not permitted.
