MPL Holiday Bake Sale Fundraiser 

Proceeds from this year’s sale will support our Community Pantry, an important community resource for those struggling with food insecurity.

Teen Take & Make Sugar Scrub Kits               

Available December 23 – 30 – while supplies last

If you have ever wanted to make a sugar scrub, you’re in for a treat. Your kit will include a sugar scrub recipe and all the ingredients to make a sample. Once you learn, you can make them for yourself, family and friends.

Babysitting Course with St. John Ambulance

Learn the skills necessary to be a babysitter or stay home alone, such as basic first aid, safe play, changing diapers, bedtime routines, and handling emergencies. Bring your brown bag lunch!

MPL wants to help you stave off boredom this winter break! Pick up a bingo card in The Vault and be sure to return it to MPL by January 10 for your chance to win a prize package!

Teen Take & Make: Ugly Slippers

Move over ugly holiday sweaters! Our slippers are about to get ugly. We’ll supply the kit, you supply the creativity. Don’t forget to send us a photo & tag us in your social media posts.

Teen Take & Make Holiday STEAM Challenge

Available from December 6 in The Vault

Put your STEAM skills to the test with our yummy holiday challenge! Pick up a kit in The Vault, and then build a house or other 3D structure of your own design using only what we give you. Send in a picture of what you’ve made for our virtual display. Allergen alert: the kits will contain graham crackers, meringue powder, and various candies. No registration required.

Need a new look for the holidays? Make it DIY-style at MPL’s MakerPlace. Bring in a plain shirt and we’ll use our Cricut and heat press to deck it out! This program is for all ages; participants under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Register online or by phone at 705-526-4216.

Virtual Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

1st Wednesday of the Month @  5:00 PM

Our Teen Advisory Group is a team leadership group at MPL – programming for teens by teens.

If you know what you want to see in the library, have suggestions for books to order or programming you want to attend – then TAG is for you!
Earn community service hours (required for graduation) for all TAG meetings, plus earn extra for TAG-led activities. Email Jenn, Adult & Teen Services Coordinator at for our virtual meeting link!


Teen Review Program

Teens now have a new way to earn volunteer hours – by becoming a volunteer reviewer! You can review your favorite book, movie or video game.
